Our verdict

CL
Winner
Claude
940.83RQ

Claude edges ahead in pure output quality. Its writing is more nuanced, its reasoning more careful, and it handles long, complex instructions better than ChatGPT. However, ChatGPT wins on ecosystem: its plugin library, image generation via DALL-E, and sheer brand recognition make it the more practical daily driver for most people. If writing quality is your top priority, choose Claude. If you want one tool that does everything well, ChatGPT remains the safer bet.

both have gotten so good it's almost unfair to compare. pick your priority and stick with it

200k context window is the entire reason I switched to claude and never went back. fed it a whole codebase

@notgpt_lol fair but for long documents claude isn't even close. fed it a 300 page contract and it was flawless
